Yes. Some states call the certification by a different name, but they are the same.
Does a certified manager need to be on the premises at all times?
That depends on how the law is written in your area. Please check with your local regulatory body. However, keep in mind that the manager is certified, not the company.

Most areas only accept a certification for one location.
Are we still covered if the food safety manager leaves our company?
No. You must take down his or her certification and have someone else sit for the exam.
Why can't I have the exam translated if I don't speak English?
With over 200 languages spoken in the United States, there is no way to provide an exam for each of them. You may request to have the exam read to you in the language it is written in, if that service is available at the test location.
We do not allow for translation of the examination. We have to ensure that each candidate has the same chance of passing the exam, and with a translator there is no way to verify this information.
